Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 launch date could be delayed as the south Korean phone maker prepares huge targets for 2017. Although from the 10th anniversary of iPhone 8 in 2017, it will face serious competition. It will easily be the Android phone to beat this year.
In fact Samsung is placing a big bet on it, to the tune of 60 million and the company expects to ship that many of its flagship phone this year.
The Investor reports that this goal is considerably higher than the shipment totals for the Galaxy S7 thus far, which is about 48 million.
Samsung Galaxy S8 expected to debut in mid-April, It could sport a design that’s almost all screen in the front and integrate a fingerprint sensor in the panel itself.
It will also likely feature Samsung’s new assistant, which may be called Bixby, dual cameras on the back and the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
Galaxy S8 might also be powerful enough like PC, as one leak suggests it could provide a desktop-like experience when connected to a monitor.
The shipment estimate may seem high, because Samsung had to pull the Galaxy Note 7 from the market due to fires, so there’s likely pent-p demand from those shoppers. In fact, there’s a rumor that at least one variant of the S8 will offer pen input.
From the last few generations Samsung has revealed its Galaxy flagship at the Mobile World. The launch for the Samsung Galaxy S8 will take place at a separate event in New York. It’s not known that exactly when launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 would take place, it may be set to go on sale in mid-April of 2017.
